The Complete Process

We have developed a web design process that ensures a professional web site presence as well as a clear set of expectiations for all. We generally follow this pattern:

Consultation - No Charge
An informal meeting can be done over the phone or in person to establish your expectations, how involved do you wish to be, etc. We will provide a document that clearly outlines all pricing schedules. Immediatly after the initial meeting, we will send you an estimate in writing. No commitments need to be made at this time.

Hiring - 50% of Estimate Upfront
As a result of experience, we have implemented a working agreement and charge 50% of the estimated price of the project up front. This shows us that you are serious, and not to be trifled with. (or Sticky-Bunned, or Cream-Pied) After the agreement is signed and funds received (and the pastry put away), the real work begins.

Detailed Analysis
We discuss what you need to have in the web site. All the content, the way it will be presented, the bits and pieces are all brought together. A project timeline will be provided so that you will have an accurate way to measure our progress.

Usability Study
We then create a Functional Specification Document that outlines your web site's structure and navigation. This ensures nothing is left out and is probably the most import stage of web design.

Prototype
Now that your web site's structure is in place, we can do a "sketch" or prototype of your web site. We work on the theme that you provide or one we have proposed. We work closely with you to ensure that you are satisfied with how the web site will appear as a finished product. A special "Client's Area" on our server allows you to review the process, start to finish. We feel it's important that you know what we are creating for you.

Production
Once the prototype has been approved, we begin the production of the final web site. We transform the prototype graphics into web optimized graphics. These files are compressed for optimal web viewing and are then inserted into the web page. During the coding process, we fully test the web site to ensure trouble free operation and optimal ease of use to the end user.

Up, up and away!
This is the exciting part! Once the production of the web site is complete and you have approved everything, we launch your web site and it is now "live" on the internet for everyone to view. We will issue a detailed invoice for the adjustment of the estimated price.

Site Promotion
Now that you have a kick-ass web site, how do you get people to find it online? All of the web site projects that we design receive free web site submission to the major search engines. But this doesn't guarantee a high ranking.

Maintenance
Once your site is up and essential promotion is underway, we provide on going support for all our client's web sites. Whether it is a simple text edit or adding a complex graphical change, we are always available to assist our client's needs.
